Baluran is wild game preserve and occupies about 25.000
hectares of open Avenal, and hill country to the north of banyuwangi. The

native habitat from a specially constructed tower.

It was the capital city of Majapahit, the biggest Kingdom in
South East Asia (1293 - 1495) and the Embrio of Indonesia. Here is to be
found one of East Java's most exciting archaeological sites. Some of
Trowulan's more important remains include the gate way of Bajang Ratu; the
bathing place of Candi Tikus; Candi Brahu - where it is said that the
cremations of several of Majapahit's rulers were carried out. Trowulan
also has a large museum, which no long age was extended to include the
collection of sculpture and artefacts which used to be housed in the
Museum of the Archaeological service in Mojokerto.

Conservation efforts at Meru Betiri are focused largely on
the turtle the nesting benches, of whiles Sukamade is the most famous.
Five species of turtle are known to lay eggs here. Emerging from the sea
under cover of darkness, usually between about 9 pm and midnight, the
turtle crawl slowly up the beach, deposit their eggs beneath half a metre
of sand and return to the water in a process that takes several hours to
complete.

The ijen plateau his is the centre of the Ijen - Merapi.

crater lake which lies hidden between sheer walls of deeply furruwed rock
at more than 200 metres. The ijen crater itself lies at approximately
2.300 metres above sen level. It form a twin valcano with the now extinet
mount Merapi. The enormous crater lake which is 200 metres deep and covers
an area of more than halt a million square metres. Contains about 36
million cubie metres of streaming. Acid water ijen crater shows a special
type of vacancies feature common to Indonesia, About 1 kilo meters in
diametre and 175 meters deep.

Mountain within mountain
with 10 kilo meters diameters of sand sea. Formerly a vast mountain, an
eruption of massive proportions blew off its top, leaving a huge caldera
in which two peaks are located. One is the active volcano of bromo, the
other is the non-active mount Batok. Mount bromo is about 2.400 meters
about sea level. Time has filled the caldera with the grey sand and this
expanse, which you a cross en route to mount bromo it self that is known
as the sand sea.
